Our Founding Story
Founders Tyler & Rachel Edge have very different professional backgrounds, but one important thing in common; their commitment to serving their customers and providing the best experience possible.
Tyler started in the plastic industry in 2006 as a Sales Representative after being introduced to it by none other than Rachel’s father. Having grown up on a hog farm, Tyler was no stranger to agriculture, but he was new to drainage tiling. It didn’t take long for him to recognize the immense impact this product made on crop yields and soil health, and how important a quality product and customer service were to his customers. He spent the next 16 years growing his knowledge, customer base, and assisting in every area he could to ensure their success. As his time in the industry grew, so did his awareness of unmet needs, and so his dreaming began.
He and Rachel started planning what it could look like to manufacture drainage products with the end goal of immensely satisfied customers. This company was built with one goal in mind, providing the ultimate customer experience. Of course a quality product, but what about the rest? Truly caring about the success and wellbeing of those you are serving, that is what had set Tyler apart in his career. Conveniently, this also happened to be an area of expertise for Rachel, who had spent the last 14 years in healthcare leadership with a focus on just that. Together, they took a leap of faith in 2023 and started The drainEDGE Company. With Tyler’s industry and product knowledge, commitment to his customers, and entrepreneurial spirit, along with Rachel’s leadership, marketing and business development experience, they are committed to stepping up the game in this field, while also keeping it real with both customers and employees.
